  Creekside Senior Estates Cooperative is a resident-owned
  community of modular and mobile
  homes for seniors aged 55 and up. As a homeowner in Creekside Senior
  Estates, you can be a land lessee, leasing
  land for your home, or you can be a
  shareholder. As a shareholder, you have a
  lower monthly cost and a vote in how the
  community is run.
  When you purchase a home that is owned
  by a shareholder, you automatically
  become a shareholder. When you
  purchase a newly built home or a home
  from a land lessee, the Co-operative may
  offer you the opportunity to purchase a
  share and become a shareholder, or you
  can be a land lessee if you so choose.
  As a shareholder, you will pay $30,000 -
  $35,000 to purchase your share. This
  makes you a member of the Creekside
  Senior Estates Co-operative Inc., and gives
  you a vote in the governance of the
  community. You will also pay $185 in
  monthly maintenance fees.
  As a land lessee, you will pay a monthly
  rental fee up to $550.
  The lessee rental fees and shareholder
  maintenance fees provide for property
  management, garbage and recycling
  services, snow removal from community
  roads, landscape maintenance of common
  areas, maintenance of the swimming pool,
  and year-round operation of the community
  centre.
