While public homecare services are administered though Alberta Health Services to anyone with a valid healthcare card who has needs that can be met at home in a safe manner, there are several Homecare area specific Zone’s in the province where one would connect with a Case Manager who can identify needs, create a plan of care and connect clients with services and resources in the community. Homecare can be provided in one’s home, a specific clinic location or in other community settings. To find out more information or request a homecare assessment you may call Health Link at 811 or visit www.albertahealthservices.ca/cc/page15488.aspx. Alternately, you can look up your Zone on the chart below and contact the associated number. If you are unsure what Zone you are in, visit www.albertahealthservices.ca/zones/zones.aspx. A RN is on staff at each location and will be able to answer any questions you may have, do an assessment and arrange for any necessary referrals.[1]
